2017年2月28日TＫＰ赤坂カンファレンスセンターにて、「日本コンテンツ愛好家に関する国際研究シンポジウム」～国際化するオタク文化とコンテンツ産業の振興～（主催：ＣｉＰ協議会ー経済産業省受託事業ー）が開催され、IOEA代表の佐藤がパネリストとして登壇しました。
