2017年4月18日～20日にキューバ・ハバナにて開催されたAnime ShurikenにIOEA代表佐藤が参加しました。
The director of IOEA, Kazutaka Sato participated in the anime event “Anime Shuriken” in Habana, Cuba held on the weekend of April 18th, 2017.
ネットが普及していない社会主義国のイベントですが、現地の皆さんの熱意と仲間意識の強さに感銘を受けました。
個々が熱意を持って取り組み、オタクの仲間と出会うために集まるという、オタクイベントの原点を思い出しました。
In Habana, the Internet is not prevalent yet, however, the enthusiasm and fellow feeling of fans was impressive. It brought it home to us the original of otaku conventions where people gather with passion to meet other fans.
また、在キューバ日本大使館の皆様にお声がけいただき、キューバのイベントやオタク文化愛好グループとのミーティングも行いました。
With the help of the embassy of Japan in Cuba, we held a meeting with the organizers of the event and fan groups in Cuba.
